I keep a paper list, laminated with family, my doctor, the vet, insurance, a neighbor, an out of state contact and local emergency services all written down where a dead battery can't touch it. There's a copy in the go bag, one in the car and one in a kitchen drawer. It's a little old-fashioned but it's never once failed to work.

If your phone died right now, how many of those numbers could you actually recall from memory alone?

I too have small notebook with all of my user ID's and passwords in it. :)
It also has a backup of all important phone numbers so if my flip phone dies, it won't be a disaster.
I don't have a Sillyphone, and never will. (y)
 
I tested myself on this once and could only remember four numbers without looking at my phone. My own mom wasn’t one of them which was a little rough.
