10/22 upgrades? where to start?

just got my first 10/22 and wow, it’s a blast! totally see the hype. it’s great stock, but i wanna make it mine. any suggestions on the best upgrades or mods that really made your 10/22 pop? i’m looking for stuff that’s worth the hassle and not gonna break the bank. hit me up with your tips!

Congrats on the 10/22! That's an iconic plinker! My first rifle was a 10/22 I got in a trade about 45 years ago. Still love taking that little rifle out for a little action now & then.

I've since picked up a Charger, and a take-down model.

I have one that I pieced together a few years back. The only thing Ruger on it is some of the trigger assembly and the wooden stock I picked up on Ebay. The rest of it is aftermarket. There are a gazillion gizmoes for them. It shoots well but I have other 22 rifles I prefer to hunt with. I would just shoot it for awhile and see what if anything needs improving.

Nice! First upgrade I did was the trigger, it really improved the feel and accuracy. Then I added a more comfortable stock and a decent scope. Take it slow, one mod at a time, and you'll really enjoy it

Congrats! I'd find a nice scope as a first upgrade.

If you're looking to tighten up those groups, a budget bull barrel can really make a difference. But even the standard barrel can be nice if you pair it with the right ammo.
