So, I've been wrestling with this question for a bit. Are binary triggers legal in Louisiana? I recently moved here and just want to make sure I'm on the right side of the law before I go making any changes to my setup. It's all so confusing sometimes. I was chatting with a buddy who thinks they are, but I just don't want to risk it. Anyone have the scoop? Any personal experience with this? I guess I'm just trying to avoid any surprises down the road.

Not on the list...
This is the best I could find:
"State Laws:
  • Many states have enacted laws that either ban or restrict binary triggers, either by classifying them as prohibited devices or by regulating their sale and use.

  • States like California, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, and Washington D.C. prohibit binary triggers.

  • Delaware allows binary triggers on pistols but not rifles.

  • Colorado has also banned binary triggers, reports KKTV.

  • Minnesota is set to ban binary triggers starting January 1, 2025, with penalties including prison time and fines. "
