Hit the local lake this weekend, just me and my buddy. We were hoping to find some bass, and the weather was looking good — nice and sunny with a light breeze. The water temp was pretty warm, around 70°F, which usually means they're biting. We tossed a few different plastics and some crankbaits, but it was slow going at first. Took us a couple of hours, then I finally got a nice 3-pounder on a green pumpkin worm. Lost another one right at the boat, which always stings. My buddy finally hooked into one right before we called it quits, so at least we didn't get skunked! How's everyone else faring out there this year?
