Single, (Retirement Age) Southeast Louisiana girl here looking to make new friends hopefully with shared interests. I enjoy survivalist tips and tricks and the jokes and humor forums. Hoping to enjoy full retirement next year. Retirees....any advice? Also, must love dogs!

I thought about this a lot but I am still triggered...
Retirement:
1. Do not let your savings stagnate in a 401K, or sit idle in an IRA stuck in mutual funds, where they take half your earnings.
Put it to work for you! Doesn't have to be all of it, or even most of it... All of my income today, besides SS, comes from dividends.
2. When I was growing up we kept 10-12 'deer-hunting' dogs year round. Guess who took care of them?
I loved them all, but looked forward to the day I would no longer have to do all that work.
... Now, just have to find a way get rid of that damcat that MIL willed to me.
You need a cat?

You saw Skylar - - she would eat the cat. I have one German Shepherd mix and will eventually get another (rescues only).
Great temperament - - guard the fence, please and thank you. You remember my sign post about the 2nd Amendment - -

Is Skylar available for rent?

This is her doing her thing...even though there's snow...look at all the patrol footprints.

Her rapid-fire bark at "strangers" even startles me sometimes. (But then I smile.)
