Greetings,

Jim here, in SW Louisiana near Lake Charles. I'm a 68 year old, recently retired Electrical Engineer from the Petrochem/Energy sectors, most recently LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas).

Not really much of a hunter, but I really enjoy hunting hogs. Biggest to date was 392 lbs., taken several years back in Oklahoma, with my .30-30 Marlin 336. Last Spring, I got my first hog with a handgun - a 140 lb. sow with my DW Bruin 10mm. That was a kick!

I'm mostly a handgun enthusiast, with my main interests being 1911's, old Colt revolvers, and Dan Wessons (both revolvers and 1911's). I don't compete or anything - just collect, shoot and enjoy. Looking forward to seeing how this new forum pans out!

Love the 1911's myself. Something about them that just satisfies.

Well, I just tried to upload a video from my hog hunt last year, but it didn't appear to work. Lemme try it here:

Sow was 140 lbs. Taken at ~25 yards with 10mm Dan Wesson Bruin long-slide 1911. Ammo was S&B 180 gr. JHP.
