I just wrapped up building my first pistol in .300 Blackout, and now I'm ready to dive into making my own ammo. Since this is my first time reloading, I could really use some tips on what kind of reloading gear to start with. I'm also looking to save a bit by checking out some used equipment if possible. What brands and types do you guys recommend for someone just starting out? I'd really appreciate any advice.

When I first got started, I really made it a point to focus on consistency instead of just trying to rush through. I’d much rather nail 20 perfect rds than crank out 100 that are just okay. And just a tip, keep a little notebook or even a spreadsheet for tracking your load data.

Find an RCBS Rock Chucker press used and start with that. Most folks that are selling a press will also be selling some of the additional equipment you need. If you’re not in a rush, RCBS sells a great package that you can probably get on sale after Thanksgiving.
Steer clear of all the digital equipment out there. You’ll spend a lot on batteries.
Dillon Precision had a great sale when I started reloading in 1980. I bought their multi-station press which I certainly could recommend. But I load/weigh one rifle bullet at a time so the multi-station is only used when pistol loading. Dillon makes and backs a fine product but I think RCBS would be cheaper.
Loading ammunition needs to be a relatively slow process consuming all your concentration if it is to be done safely. But you can build a very accurate cartridge for your particular weapon and the reuse of cases can save a few bucks.
