Revolver newbie

I was at a gun shop the other day, checking out the revolvers and I realized the lineup went from .22 to .38 without any calibers in between. Since I'm still getting the hang of things, I wanted to ask what other calibers people usually go for.

You might see .32 H and R or .327 Federal between .22 and .38 in some stores. Revolvers, like the Ruger SP101 let you use a bunch of different kinds of .32 rounds. That is nice when you are learning, because you don't have to deal with a lot of kick.
