When is the right time to say a barrel is finished?

At what point did your barrel fail to meet your accuracy standards? I’d love to know how those standards varied between precision shooting and more casual shooting sessions.

It really depends on what you’re using the rifle for. My competition guns need to stay under 1 MOA. On the other hand, for my casual plinking rifles, I don’t get too concerned about accuracy until the groups exceed 4-5" at 100 yards. The intended use definitely sets the benchmark.
